You can be a true architect only if you take it as your passion…….
Money makes you compromise your design…!!!!!!
see i happened to meet BV Doshi some months ago….we were just talking about Why to pursue architecture?—He had come to our college as a guest lecturer….The first thing he told me was that if u want earn money sell potatoes on the streets, forget architecture.Have u heard Peter Eisenman ever ……he emphasizes on one thing when it comes to money…..he never tells students to pursue architecture unless he is extremely passionate about him…….his son,a lawyer ,earns more than he ever did for forty years……….and these are the real architects themselves…….Tadao Ando would have continued to drive cars the way he used to do during his childhood days,by now he would have created a car Agency and would have minted lakhs………but this PASSION brought him to architecture and not his greed for money……………Passion would any time win over money……………………any if money is your aim,why the hell architecture…..do MBA,get a job,get paid and live life like a king,….why to go through five years of hard work,then again 5-10 years of slogging and then u just might settle up…………..why go thru all this.?????????
architecture is all about passion……… without passion its difficult to survive in this feild….. if one has real pasion for architecture it ll become his or her life….
