Hi to all of you!!.. i am aparna from chennai, doing my final year from SAP. my thesis topic revolves around an urban haat and centre.
My basic aim:
To examine in the current scenario, a traditional node of social structure, its integration within the urban fabric and establishing an inter-relationship between the craftsmen and craft as a system of inter-connecting layers: the layers classified as social, environmental, cultural and economic.
The design would look at the provision of not just the ambience and essence of a traditional Rural Haat, but a typology well suited for contemporary needs: looking at a particular line of crafts in an urban scape and making an interface between the craft, craftsman and the customer: with special emphasis on craft and space.
If i could get any help on this regard, it would be really nice..Please do post your email ids so that i can send the synopsis…
