Greener Methods

Well... it is most obvious that one of the biggest political arguments over the last few years have swung in the direction of GREENER living.
So in your opinion do you think the Architectural/Construction companies should come up with greener method's of erecting building's and structure's etc.

I think it's the future coming and knocking our doors. We should to pay attetion and go thru this way, too.
Yup,
Green technology is the next big hip of tommorow...
Actually, by employing greener methods of construction, we initially increase our construction costs, but the building in turn becomes a lot more climatically responsive and electrically efficient only to reduce the monetary running cost.
By reducing the running cost, we reduce the chances of ruining the owner. Further, an increased project cost means an increased architect's fee. So, we as architects and they as clients and enviornment as mother has nothing to loose in this field. Hence, architectural companies should definitely come up with greener method's of erecting building's and structure's in India till we pass out.
Also, as kind of an addition to what adiwall said, it will cost us more to employ greener methods initially, but later, as we begin to feel the effects of more conservation-minded techniques and more companies begin to follow suit, even that would come down.
That is, costs will be more at first because not many people are doing it. Once more people start, it will balance out and competition will cause price drops (like any other technology).
